Blush Love; Coralista

Hey girlies,

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas & New Year. I had a lovely time, and was rather spoilt with my main pressie being a MacBook Pro. Feel very lucky! :)

One of my other presents this Christmas was a boxed blusher fom Benefit, the muchly talked about, Coralista! I was so happy when i unwrapped this present as Coralista is a blusher i have always pined after, but at a slightly excessive £23.50 it was hardly a product i could buy willy nilly. Thank god for Christmas, eh! ;)

The blusher is housed like any other Benefit powder, in a cardboard box, which looks pretty for a while but unfortunately in a few months time will inevitably look pretty battered! The packaging features a leopard print design, which gets a big thumbs up from me as i bloody well love a bit of animal print! (i am known to wear my Leopard print Pyjama bottoms AND Leopard print dressing gown at the same time....;))

Enough rambling about the packaging, lets get onto the product! Firstly, it smells divine, a sweet, light smell - kinda reminds me of the retro sweets, Parma Violets. The blusher itself is a peachy coral affair, with a slight satin finish. I apply Coralista in one of two ways, either on the apples of my cheeks, or along my cheekbones to give a nice peachy glow, which catches the light nicely. Like any other Benefit boxed powder, it comes with a brush. I don't use the brush, but i guess its convenient if you take this blusher out with you and need to apply it on-the-go.

For me, Coralista definitely lives unto the hype, from the leopard print packaging to the lovely glow it leaves on your skin, it gets a big thumbs up from me! The only negative is the price, but i guess with Benefit being a high end brand, you would expect those kind of prices, definitely one for Birthday/Christmas lists! ;)

GHD Review

Hello lovelies,

GHD have always been a bit part of my hair styling routine, i've used them for years for either simply straightening my hair or to give my hair a beautiful curl. So when i received an email asking whether i would like to review a couple of products from GHD, i was very excited! :)

GHD Final Fix Hairspray £9.95 (link)

Ever since i can remember, Loreal Elnett Hairspray has been my weapon of choice for securing my hair in place, so i was slightly apprehensive about trialling the GHD hairspray! So how did it compare against my faithful Elnett? Firstly, the smell of this stuff is gorgeous, light and not 'fumey' smelling in the slightest - thumbs up! :) I've used this hairspray when i've curled my hair, or simply used it to add some volume to my barnet and its held my hair in place for a good few hours.

I've never used a curl hold spray before, so i was quite excited to see if this would keep my curls bouncy and full of life! You apply this spray to dry hair, then use whatever styler (hot rollers, straighteners, curling tong...) you want to achieve your curls. I found this spray helped my curls to look more defined and definitely helped them last longer throughout the day. I also loved how this spray wasn't sticky and allowed my curls to still be bouncy and swishy! This was my favourite product of the three that i trialled!

GHD Heat Protect Spray £9.95 (link)

Before i start this review i need to own upto something..... I've never used a heat protectant before, SHOCK HORROR! Yes, i know its super bad to straighten/curl/blow dry my hair without some form of protectant on, but i got into a rather naughty routine! Maybe it can be my Beauty New Years Resolution, to use Heat Protectant everyday? Anyway, enough babbling....

Since i've been using this spray i've found my hair to feel a lot less frizzy and instead it feels more smoother and manageable. If you don't use a heat protectant, i'd definitely recommend buying one, i never thought a little spray could do much good, but i seriously can't believe how much better my hair feels after using this.

Do you have any fond memories of GHD? I remember using them when i went to school/sixth-form and i'd straighten my hair to death with them, haha! Anyway, let me know what you think!

Get the LDN look; Kate Lippies!

Hello :)

So, a few weeks ago i finally got a job after being unemployed since January, i'm now working at Dorothy Perkins, not the fanciest of jobs, but it brings in the pennies! ;) After hearing the news that i had been offered the position, i decided to treat myself to a new lippie in the form of one of the Kate Moss Rimmel lipsticks.

As an ambassador for Rimmel, it was no real surprise to hear that Miss Moss was releasing her own range of lipsticks with Rimmel. The range features seven high-shine colours packaged in chic matte black packaging, with Kate's signature emblazoned on the side in red.

In the Autumn/Winter time i tend to bid a fond farewell to the corals and pinks of my lipstick collection and instead indulge in more deeper red/berry based colours. With that in mind, i plumped for Number 8 from the range, a mauvy raspberry hue.

This lipstick has become my daily 'go-to' lip product. I wear this daily to work and have found it to be pretty longlasting, moisturising and it smells rather gorgeous too (a vanilla-y scent...)

I will do an FOTD (does anyone else hate the acronym?! ;)) soon featuring the lipstick, so you can see it in all its glory! If you are on the lookout for a new lipstick then definately take a look at the Kate ones as they really are great!!

Call me boring, but i'm very loyal to a particular shampoo and conditioner - my ever faithful Aussie Aussome Volume Shampoo and the 3MM, so when i was offered the chance to try out a few bathroom delights from Herbalife, i wondered how they would compare to my usual combo. .

Herbalife Moisturising Shampoo & Conditioner Shampoo £8.50 Conditioner £8.50

This double act claim to 'gently cleanse whilst infusing with moisture and sealing into hair. Hair will shine with vitality!'

One of my favourite things about this shampoo is the smell, it has a lovely 'clean and fresh' scent, which i love! It made my hair feel like it was getting a really good and thorough cleanse. The consistency of both products is more runny than i am used to, this didn't bother me too much, as the bottles are rather big, however it meant i needed to use a little bit more shampoo to get a good lather on! ;)

Packaging wise, its not bad but its not amazing either. Its simply a bottle with the compulsary labeling, logo and information on. Very simple, but it does the job!

I used the shampoo/conditioner for about 4-5 days and i have to say i am very impressed! I've lost count as to how many products i have used which claim to help seal moisture into your hair, yet have achieved nothing! However the Herbalife Moisturising duo does exactly what it says on the tin (or bottle...) Used together, both products left my previously rather dehydrated hair feeling healthy and shiny!

Herbal Aloe Everyday Shampoo and Conditioner Shampoo £9.70 Conditioner £9.70

The consistency of the shampoo is very similar to the shampoo from the duo above, a slightly runny, creamy feeling product, which similarly lathers up nicely. The conditioner again, feels light and nourishing, and is very easy to wash out.

Packaging wise, it follows the same design as the Moisturising range above, 2 simple bottles with the obligatory logo and labeling.

I used the shampoo and conditioner together for again around 4-5 days, and really enjoyed using them. Throughout a normal week i use a mixture of Hairspray, Dry Shampoo, Hair Clay, Hair Mousse... i could go on! So it goes without saying that i require a shampoo that can remove all the gunk and get my hair back to a clean, de-gunked condition, and this duo did just that. I feel it helped remove product build up and gave my hair a really nice cleanse.

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection 16 Hour Concealer

Hello :)

One product that the beauty world is continuously buzzing about is Collection 2000's Lasting Perfection Concealer, and with the likes of the uber-talented Pixiwoo girls raving about it, i figured it would be simply unacceptable to bypass it!

Unfortunately, i inherited dark circles under my eyes (thanks mum and dad...) so a concealer is an everyday must for me. I was previously using Benefit's Erase Paste as a concealer but found it to be a bit thick for me.

The Lasting Perfection Concealer is a lovely creamy formula that is easily applied via the applicator, and blends into the skin like a dream, whilst covering up any imperfections and dark circles in the process. The consistency of the concealer is simply uh-mazing, it feels creamy and light, kinda like a foundation but with extra coverage.

I can't really adhere to the 16 hour longevity test as i apply my make up at around 7am/8am and take it off at 8pm/9pm most days. However, i have found that the concealer stays on perfectly throughout the day, with no touch-ups needed.

The concealer is packaged in a thin lipgloss-like tube, with a doe-foot applicator and is available in 4 shades; Fair, Light, Medium and Dark. One minor point concerning the packaging is that the writing tends to rub off within a couple of months(see photo below), not ideal for an obsessive make up junkie like myself, but no biggie either!

Incase you haven't guessed yet, i bloody well love this concealer, it applies nicely, covers a multitude of sins and best of all? its only £4.19! I honestly can't see myself straying to a different concealer as this one does such a fantastic job.

Eucerin Review : Cleansing Milk & Gel

Hope you are all doing well, here is a little review on two skincare items that i've been trialing recently...

Eucerin Mild Cleansing Milk

I switched from my ever faithful, Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish (review) to trial this cleanser, so i was slightly concerned as to how it would compare to my sacred C&P. My verdict? In short, i love it!

The cleanser comes in a squeezy white tube with a pop-up top, which makes it super easy to dispense the right amount of product that you require. The cleanser itself is a generic creamy white substance, which feels moisturizing and nourishing when applied. On a day to day basis i wear, Foundation, Concealer, Blusher, Bronzer, Eyeshadow and Mascara, and this cleanser removes the sh-bang with ease! I remove the cleanser with either a Muslin cloth or just bog standard cotton wool pads. I'd say this is on par with my Liz Earle C&P, its not as thick and creamy as C&P but does just as well removing your make up and giving your skin a good cleanse.

Eucerin Refreshing Cleansing Gel

I have also been using the Eucerin Gel alongside the cleanser to see how they got on together. I was geekily quite excited to try the cleanser as it is gel based, which as you may know is causing quite a buzz in the beauty world at the moment! Gel based cleansers apparently work wonders for oily skin people like myself, so i was looking forward to seeing what results i would get!

The product comes in a similar, squeezy transparent tube with a pop-up top like the cleanser above. The cleanser has quite a thick consistency and feels a bit more firm than other cleansers, basically it feels like gel! ;) I have seen noticeable results since using this cleanser, it seems to have controlled my oiliness yet it hasn't stripped away all my natural oils or made my skin feel dehydrated. The only slightly negative point is that it doesn't lather, which doesn't particularly bother me, but i know some people like a bit of lather-ing action!

Firstly, sorry its been so long since i posted last! I've been on holiday in Salou, then when i got back i got a horrible cold which sent me right off track blog/internet wise! I'm finally getting over this cold now though, so expect to see a few more posts gracing your dashboards and maybe a couple of YouTube videos if i pluck up the courage! Ultimate Base Concealer Kit £5

The kit holds, one matte setting powder, 2 shades of concealer and a mini highlight/eyelid primer.

I took this concealer palette away with me on holiday when i went to Salou a couple of weeks ago, so i could give it a proper road test! The two shades of concealer are perfect for mixing together to find your desired shade, which was perfect when my skin was more tanned during my holiday. I found the concealer to give a good coverage and the setting powder really helped the concealer to stay put, even in the hot Spanish weather conditions!

The kit also holds a mini highlight/eyelid primer too. The primer enabled my eyeshadow to stay in place for about 3 hours, but unfortunately it started creasing after that. I do have VERY oily eyelids though, and so far i have found that only Urban Decay's Primer Potion will make my eyeshadows stay all day. As i said, the primer doubles up as a gorgeous shimmery highlight, which is lovely to apply on the brow bone, and even on the tops of your cheek bones to give that glowy look.

I'm pretty impressed with the kit as a whole, the two shades of concealers are especially useful and the setting powder really does keep the concealer locked into place!

Trio Eyeshadow Palette £2.50

I also took this eyeshadow trio on holiday with me, the colours were just TOO pretty to leave looming in my drawer at home! The trio contains 3 fairly pigmented shimmery colours from the green family.

The 3 greens look lovely when applied to create a green smokey eye, or just a simple wash of colour over the lid - the choice is yours!

VIVO cosmetics are available exclusively at Tesco stores, so the next time you pop in to do your food shopping, why not have a sneaky look at the beauty/cosmetic aisle? A fab incentive if you ask me! ;)

Exfoliating Routine ♥ Soap and Glory & Liz Earle Muslin Cloth

Exfoliating is a key part of my skin care regime, to me it is equally as important as removing your make up! Exfoliating removes all of the nasty dead skin cells that can make your skin look dull. By removing the dead skin cells you are allowing fresh skin cells to flaunt themselves and helping your skin glow and radiate health.

The two products that i use for exfoliating are a Muslin Cloth (daily routine) and Soap and Glory's Greatest Scrub Of All exfoliator (2-3 times a week).

My Current Exfoliation Routine

Liz Earle Muslin Cloth

Every morning and night i cleanse my face (obv). At the moment i am currently using a cleansing lotion by Eucerin (review coming soon). My current cleansing routine involves applying the cleanser all over my face to remove any make up, then using a Liz Earle Muslin cloth, i simply wipe away the cleanser and make up. Muslin cloths hold a micro-exfoliating property, which means that everyday i am giving my face a gentle exfoliation.

By using a Muslin cloth to remove cleanser from my skin, i've found that my skin has appeared a lot more healthier and has had more of a glow to it. Using a Muslin cloth as part of your daily cleansing routine means that you are encorparating cleansing and exfoliating in one swift step!

Soap and Glory Greatest Scrub Of All

Seeing as the Muslin cloth only gives my face quite a gentle exfoliation, i also use the Soap and Glory Greatest Scrub Of All exfoliator 2 - 3 times a week, to make sure all the nasty dead skin cells are scrubbed away.

The Soap and Glory Greatest Scrub Of All exfoliator is one of my all time favourite skin care items.

In the past i have used an array of exfoliators, but most were too harsh on my skin. The S&G exfoliator is a minty smelling cream packed with little micro-beads. The first thing i noticed when i first used this was how creamy and silky it felt, which was quite a nice surprise for an exfoliator! You do get quite a tingling sensation when you apply this, so for that reason i don't put it anywhere near my eyes or lips! The tingling sensation isn't offensive or irritating to me at all, just a bit of a surprise when you first try it. When i've massaged the product around my face and neck area i simply wash it off.

The exfoliator leaves my skin looking healthier and brighter. You are also left with quite a refreshing feeling after using this scrub, i put this down to the minty scent! ;)

VO5 Plump It Up Mousse!

A key part of my routine when blow drying my hair is a decent hair mousse. I've used hair mousses from the likes of Label M to John Frieda, but none come close to this little beauty, allow me to introduce you to Vo5's Plump It Up Mousse!

Vo5 are an established brand which everyone is aware of, however in the past year or so they have kind of been overshadowed by other brands with snazzy advertising campaigns, eyecatching packaging and innovative products. However, Vo5 have recently undergone a rebranding and relaunch in order to compete with their fellow competitors and regain the top spot in the hair care stakes.

A few weeks back whilst watching TV, i was captivated by a rather mesmerizing advert;

Good eh?! So during my next visit to Boots/Superdrug i made a mental note to have a look at the Vo5 products.

The revamped Vo5 products really stood out on the stands, the hot pink packaging really grabs your attention! Needing a new hair mousse, i plumped for the Plump It Up Mousse, and was excited to not only use the product but also to sit the pretty packaged product on my dressing table...

The mousse itself comes out in the shape of Squirty Cream/Mr Whippy Ice Cream, a nice surprise, i always pretend i'm making an ice-cream when i dispense the product! haha ;)

The consistency of the mousse is quite light, which makes it a lot easier to disperse throughout your hair. I hate it when you use quite a heavy mousse and mid blow drying you find blobs of mousse just hanging in your hair!

Once i've applied the mousse, i then blowdry my hair with my head flipped upside down, (much to my sister's amusement!) as i find this helps give your hair a bit more oomph!

Overall, i really like this mousse. Its light to apply, not sticky and gives you thickness and volume. I'd recommend this mousse for anyone who is looking for a new mousse, including people with fine/thin hair, as its so light and will not weigh down your hair! An added bonus is that it has a heat defence feature, which is great, especially for lazy people like me who often forget to use a heat protection product before applying heat.

Sleek Contour Kit

Long before i discovered the Beauty community i naively thought that a bronzing powder was simply a product to make your skin look like you had a tanned, sunkissed look, although a bronzer can quite rightly give you a more sunkissed look, some bronzing powders can also have another use . . .

After watching various make up tutorials on YouTube, i kept hearing the same word/phrase being uttered 'i'm going to CONTOUR now using....' I quickly discovered that contouring was a method using a (usually) matte bronzer to add structure to the face. Contouring is usually used in the hollows of your cheeks, to find these pull the famous fish-face! On your temples and under your jawline.

The contour powder which i use is the widely spoken about 'Sleek Contour Kit', it does exactly what it says on the tin!

In the compact you get a contour colour (2/3) which is a mid brown matte shade and a simply beautiful highlight shade (1/3) and a little mirror, which could come in useful if you are on your travels!

The matte brown contour is wonderful, it is now part of my everyday make up routine. I apply it with a slightly tapered powder brush. The contour is pigmented, blends easily and doesn't leave you with an orange stripe down your face, which is always a plus! ;)

Alongside the contour colour is a highlight shade. Admittedly, i don't use the highlight as much as the contour, simply because it is VERY pigmented and if you wear it in the daytime you would need to apply it very lightly. The highlight is quite apt for when you are hitting the town for a night out though, it adds a dramatic highlight when applied along the top of your cheekbones.

The Sleek Contour Kit is available in three shades (Light, Medium and Dark. I chose Light) and is available from Superdrug and the Sleek website for a bargain price of £6.50!

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish

Hello :)

I know there have been hundreds of Liz Earle reviews in the beauty bloggerspere over the past year or two but i thought i'd throw mine into the mix too.

From the reviews i've read of this product, i discovered that people use it in different ways. Some people firstly use a make up cleansing wipe to remove their make up and then use the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish as a cleanser on clean skin, whilst some people (including me) simply use the cleanser to remove your make up and to cleanse the skin in one go.

Before i go to bed, (i also use the C&P in the morning to cleanse my face) i take one pump of the cleanser onto clean hands and massage it onto my skin, during this time you will notice that your make up is sort of 'melting' away, make sure you remove your eye make up last, otherwise you will have a black mess of Mascara/Eyeliner/Eye Shadow down your face!

The next step is to wet the Muslin cloth under warm water (not hot!), then take a section of your Muslin cloth and working in circles to simply buff away all the cleanser and make up off your face. The Muslin cloth also has a micro exfoliating ability, which means you are Cleansing and Exfoliating in one go!

Once your face is make up free, give your face a quick splash with water to remove any of the remaining cleanser from your skin.

What Do i Think?

I have always been a make up wipe kinda girl, so when i started using the Cleanse and Polish i was slightly dubious as to how different the results would be, and would the extra effort be worth it?

I have Oily/Combination skin, so i am prone to the odd flurry of spots now and again, but nothing terribly bad. My main skin concern is redness/uneven skintone. Since using the Cleanser the redness and uneven skintone of my skin has evened out and my skin just looks a lot more healthier.

TOP TIP!

Instead of rinsing and rinsing your Muslin Cloths out in the sink simply pop them in the washing machine for a quick wash! :)

I will definitely be re-purchasing this, this may well be my HG cleanser. :)

Thought i'd do a post today on my favourite eye products at the moment.

1. Urban Decay Naked Palette
A must have for beauty lovers, this palette never vacates my dressing table. From the Frosty Champagne Pink 'Sin' to the Sultry 'Smog' there is a colour for every occasion in this palette.
My favourite shades at the moment are, Virgin, Half Baked and Buck.

2. Urban Decay Primer Potion
Unfortunately i suffer from oily eyelids, so an eye primer is a must have for me. A quick dab of this on my eyelids and i feel reassured that i will have crease-free eyeshadow for the day. I also have the UD Primer Potion in the colour 'Sin', however when i use it, my eyeshadow still creases! So i'd suggest staying away from the 'Sin' version and sticking with the original.

3. Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Liner
I've always been rather anxious about using liquid eyeliner as i don't have the steadiest hand in the world. However, i found this liquid liner loitering in the bottom of my make up draw and decided to try my hand at applying it...
I'll admit my first time using this was not perfect, however after a few attempts i was flicking my liner out like a pro! I love the thin brush on this liner, which helps with precision and i've not found it to smudge either. (Note; I do use Urban Decay Primer Potion underneath my liner first.)

4. Loreal Lash Architect 4D Mascara
When i first bought this mascara we did not get on, to be frank it was a gloopy mess. However 2 weeks later and the mascara has dried out slightly, which makes it a lot easier to work with and leaves me with long luscious voluminous lashes. WIN!

Firstly, yay i reached 200 followers! Thanks for following everyone!

I've just booked my first driving lesson for this Friday, how exciting! I had around ten lessons a year ago, but stopped for some reason. My dad said he'll buy me a car when i pass, not sure if he meant it or not, but i do have my heart set on a Mini, although somehow i don't think his budget will stretch that far! A girl can dream right?!

As you may notice from the photos below, i've had my hair highlighted. This was courtesy of the latest project from Aussie. Myself and Cat both had our lockes revamped at Jacks Salon in Nottingham! As you can see i went for a few subtle highlights to achieve a more summery bo-ho look.

Have you all picked up an issue (or 3) of Glamour Magazine? I'm sure you all know that they are giving away a free bottle of Benetint, Posie Tint and High Beam with each issue! I picked up the Benetint. :)

I've also been watching the rather slutty Geordie Shore, not the most educational show on TV but addictive non the less. and Gary is kinda hot... #BOSH

John Frieda : 3 Product Review

On a recent trip into Boots i discovered they had a 3 for 2 offer on a lot of products around the store. So i thought this would be a great time to dabble in the John Frieda products.

Heres what i bought;

John Frieda Frizz Ease Straight Ahead Shampoo £5.59

Love love LOVE this shampoo! My hair is rather prone to frizz and i've tried SO many products to try and tame my mane, but none have come up trumps.... until now! This shampoo has really toned down the frizz, its not completely got rid of it, but it has made a drastic improvement.

The shampoo feels really silky when applying it and it lathers and rinses out very easily too.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Thickening Shampoo £5.79

I only tried this shampoo this morning, and wasn't actually expecting much from it to be honest. Shampoos that promise 'volume and body' don't usually materialise on my hair. After i blowdried my hair (i didn't use any other mousse/products whilst drying my hair as i wanted to test the shampoo fairly) i noticed that my hair was much more fuller from root to tip. I don't really feel it gave my hair 'volume' but instead it made my hair a lot more fuller. If my hair is feeling a bit lank and lifeless then i'll whip this little product out i think!

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Thickening Mousse £5.79

I use this mousse every morning when i've washed and towel dried my hair. I simply pump out some product and rake it through my hair, concentrating firstly at the roots. Then i dry my hair with my head upside down. The result? My hair looks much more fuller, bouncier and has much more volume at the roots too! One more quick point about this mousse is that it isn't sticky either, which is a big plus! The mousse is super easy to distribute through the hair and doesn't leave you with crunchy hair either.

All in all, i'm very pleased with the John Frieda products, and will definately be investigating other products they have on the shelves very soon!

I think the 3 for 2 offer is still on in Boots, so if you are in need of some new hair products then i'd definately recommend nipping in.

Hope you've all had a wonderful day. How amazing was the Royal Wedding?! Kate looked absolutely beautiful, the dress was stunning and Prince William looked very handsome too. :)

Seeing all the crowds outside Westminster Abbey and outside Buckingham Palace made me feel very proud to be British. :) No one knows how to throw a Royal Wedding like us Brits!

Blush Me!

Last week i was in dire need of a new blusher, so off i toddled to Superdrug to see what they had to offer. My local Superdrug has had a makeover on the make up front recently, the stands seem bigger and there is a lot more product choice and new brands are being introduced too.

After being uninspired by the Revlon, Loreal and Sleek stands i stumbled across the MeMeMe! section. I'd heard a lot of good things about the Shimmer Palettes and the boxed Blushers from MeMeMe! so after swatching the blusher i decided to go for it and buy a blusher in the colour Rouge.

As you can probably tell by the photo below, the packaging is designed similarly to Benefit's famous boxed powders (e.g. Hoola) Obviously this is a copycat design in an attempt to lure in customers, guess it worked!

The packaging also holds a mirror in the lid, which is pretty useful if you pop the blusher in your bag and don't have a mirror to hand. Also included in the box is a brush to apply the blusher with. Again, another similarity to Benefit...

The colour i bought was Rouge. When i think of Rouge i instantly think of red, however the blusher is more of coral-y pink. Its still a beautiful colour though, but in my eyes this is nowhere near a rouge hue! The blusher does have a slight shimmer to it and the texture/pigmentation is great too.

All in all i'm really impressed by the blusher. Pretty packaging and a great product at a fab price of £8.50

Twirls and Curls : Babyliss Conical Wand

Hello girlies,

I've always longed for gentle, tumbling curls, which unfortunately my GHD's could never fully achieve - i was left with kinky curls. That sounds wrong, but you know what i mean, curls with a bit of a kink in them! Anyway, last November-ish i'd been researching various curling tongs/wands for a while and decided the one for me had to the much sought after Babyliss Conical Wand (2285U). So when my mum asked me what i wanted for Christmas i presented her with the idea of a Conical Wand.
... Skip forward to Christmas day and there it was, underneath the Christmas tree!

The Babyliss Conical Wand is different to other curling irons as it does not have the clamp on it, which many others do. This to me is a major plus, as i feel (speaking from experience) that clamps tend to get more in the way, and make curling your hair quite a fiddly process. With the abscence of the clamp on the Conical Wand it makes curling your hair a much easier process.

Another feature of the Conical Wand is the heat settings. There are 4 different heat settings(155c, 170c, 185c and 200c), which means you can tailor the heat setting to your preference. E.g. If you have quite thin hair you may wish to use the Conical Wand on a lower heat setting as your hair will not take as long to style or need as much heat to curl. I personally use the highest heat setting, as my hair has a tendancy to not hold a curl very well, grrr!

One little feature of this product which i believe is great is the swivel cord. This allows you to have complete freedom when styling your hair, theres nothing worse than being restricted by a silly wire when styling your hair!

All sounds fab right? Well trust me, i blooming well love my Conical Wand, i use it nearly everyday and it has overtaked my beloved GHD's as my favourite heated hair appliance.

There is one tiny little negative though and thats that if you are not careful you can REALLY burn yourself on it. Seriously, the number of times i've cursed whilst using my Conical Wand is astounding! The reason i burn myself so easily on this is because you have to wrap and hold a piece of hair around the wand, and usually my hand bumps into the hot wand. Ouch! To be fair though, the Conical Wand does come with gloves, but i just can't be bothered to put on a pair of gloves everytime i want to curl my hair...

The negative point has nothing to do with the Conical Wand itself, its just a personal thing, and to be fair - i am quite a clumsy person. Case in point; Today i burnt myself on a Toastie Machine and walked into a chair....

I'd highly recommend the Babyliss Conical Wand if you are looking for a curling iron.

Hello,

I kindly recieved The Breakfast Scrub as a Christmas present from my mum as she knows i'm a big S&G junkie! I couldn't wait to use it, and it didn't dissapoint!

I'm a bit confused as to why its called The Breakfast Scrub, apart from the packaging kinda looking like a cereal bowl... or is that completely irrelevant?!

The product itself is WONDERFUL. Firstly it smells abso-bloody-lutely divine, this may have something to do with the mixture of Golden Sugar scrub particles, Gentle Oatmeal Grains, Shea Butter and Banana, Honey and Almond Extracts which feature in the scrub. Basically it smells just like Golden Syrup... mmm!

The consistency of the scrub is also fab, just thick enough to remove any dead skin cells but gentle enough not to irritate your skin. It left my skin feeling soft and silky.

One quick tip ; Use the scrub before you shave your legs and it will help smooth your legs, leaving you with a smoother shaving experience!

Spring is my favourite time of year, i do love Summer too - but Spring just has that fresh feeling about it, right? The sun blaring through the windows at 7am sure does make it a lot easier to get up in the morning, instead of rain pounding on the windows!

Seeing as Spring is my favourite season i thought simply writing a blog post on how i can put a 'Spring into my Spring' was simply not an option, so i present to you . . . . a visual moodboard/brainstorm! Clinique Perfectly Real Foundation

A couple of months back my trusty Revlon Colourstay foundation was close to running out and as easy as it would of been to simply repurchase Colourstay i decided to explore the realms of high end foundations instead.

As i live in quite a small-ish town my choices of 'high end' foundations were quite limiting; Benefit, Estee Lauder and Clinique were my options - i plumped for Clinique.

I was greeted at the Clinique counter by a friendly assistant who gave me the bog standard consultation to determine which foundation would suit my needs the best. I wanted a medium coverage foundation, which also offered a healthy glowey look. The assistant suggested the Perfectly Real Make Up foundation and started swatching colours to find a suitable colour match. Once we had found a suitable colour match she asked if i'd like her to apply the foundation, so i could see the finish it gives. I accepted the offer and she began wiping away at my foundation, then applied the Clinique foundation we had chosen earlier. I loved the result and swiftly purchased the foundation.

The packaging of this foundation is also great, it comes in a squeezy tube, perfect for when you get to the end on the product as you can simply squeeze out the remainding splutters. Also the nozzle like applicator allows you to have total control as to how much product you want to squeeze out, no mess and no fuss!

I'd definately recommend this foundation if you are looking for a weightless, natural looking foundation with medium coverage.

Saturday Night

Firstly i'd like to say a huge thank you for the response on my last post, it means a lot!

On Saturday i ventured down to Nottingham for a day of shopping and a night of drinking and dancing with my darling sister, Nichola, who is at Uni in Nottingham.

Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side and the heavens decided to open, we managed to flutter between shop to shop without getting too wet but in the end we decided to cut the the afternoon of shopping short and headed back to her house and settle down to watch a film.

In the evening we went out into Nottingham, visited a few bars, had a drink and dance and when the time came when a rather drunken jeering old-ish man started loitering around us we decided it was probably time to call it a night.

Beauty and the Beast : The Ugly Side Of Prejudice

Hello :)

I'm sure a few of you are aware of a tv show which graced your screens tonight, sensitively called Beauty and the Beast : The Ugly Side Of Prejudice.

The programme focuses on 2 kinds of people, one with a facial disfigurement and one person who is 'normal' and has quite a superficial view on beauty. Cameras will track the pair as they venture around London together.

So, why am i telling you about this? Well the reason being is that i have a facial disfigurement myself, and to be honest i don't know how i feel about the documentry. For one, the title is quite offensive, 'Beauty and the Beast' seriously?! I know they Channel 4 named it this to gain attention and exposure but i think its very insensitive, what message does that give out to the public about people who look different, that we are 'Beasts' . . . . strange

On the otherhand i think its good that Channel 4 are exploring the topic of facial disfigurements and bringing quite a shyly talked about subject into the public domain.

My story . . . .

When i was born i had a birthmark around the size of an orange on the side of my cheek, the doctors removed the birthmark but in the process unfortunately they removed my nerves/muscles in my cheek aswell. Resulting in me not being able to use the muscles on the right side of my face. This means i can't smile properly, raise my right eyebrow or waggle my ear (as if i'd want to ;)) I've had 5 operations trying to move muscles from my legs and arms into my face in an attempt to make the muscles to work again, but unfortunately nothing has worked!

I've had people say things about my face to me, my personal favourite being 'Have you got a tooth/face absess?' they said this as my face is slightly droopy/swollen on the right.

So i'm left with a not so symetricall face, some days it gets me down and knocks my confidence but there are always people who are worse off than me, so why should i complain! We're not all perfect, right?!

Call me cringy but i think beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, and no one is a 'Beast' as Channel4 nicely put it . . .

♥ Christmas and Birthday ♥

Hello,

*wipes cobwebs away* yes, i know its been a while. I've been a busy bee over Christmas with work primarily and the usual festivities! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, ate too much, drank even more and had lots of snoozy time too. :)

My Christmas was spent at home with my parents, my twin sister, brother and his wife and my auntie Jean. We had a lovely day and i recieved lots of fab pressies, namely my iPhone - which hasn't left the palm of my hand since i recieved it . . .

Another exciting event which occured during January was my Birthday! As my birthday is just after Christmas i always struggle to decide what i'd like as a present, so this year my mum and dad gave me money instead, so i could decide what to buy. After a day of thinking i thought i'd invest my money in a shiny new camera. I bought a Panasonic Lumix FS11, it seems pretty good so far and it shoots in HD, how exciting - possibility of YouTube vids maybe? . . .

Hello! :)

Last week has absolutely FLOWN by, i think during the run upto Christmas the days always seem to go by so quickly because of the fact that it gets dark so fast and everyones busy busy busy!

1. I've been given lots more hours at work this week durig the run upto Christmas. One negative point of working in retail during the festive season is that you have to, or are assumed to be able to work during Christmas eve and Boxing day. Today we got told that we have to work on the 23rd December upto 11.30pm to get stock ready for the sale :o. At least i have Christmas day off, eh! ;)

2. 2 words - X FACTOR! Did you watch the final last night? I must admit, i was rather dissapointed that One Direction didn't win, or even get in the final two. :( I'm gonna put the cat amongst the pigeons and say that i'm not a Matt Cardle fan, yes he has a good voice but i don't think he has the X Factor. However, regardless of Matt winning i think 1D and Rebecca will still have big careers in front of them, just look at JLS! :)

3. This week something big happened, i saw the grass in my backgarden and the pavement on my close for the first time in weeks! As i'm sure you're aware the UK has had a thorough bashing from the snow, so its nice to be able to skip down the pavements and not look like bambi in the process! haha

4. I've been indulging in a whole lotta music last week. mostly to the tune of Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Cheryl Cole. I love all their new albums, especially Ri Ri's, i was hoping to get tickets for her tour but they sold out in like a minute, or something ridiculous like that. Humph! Oh and on the topic of Rihanna, did you SEE her performance with Matt on X Factor?! I thought they were gonna rip each others clothes off there and then, haha. Chemistry doesn't even come close!

Hello :)

1. It would be fair to say that this week has been somewhat . . . lifechanging/dramatic. Basically, i've decided to leave Uni and get a full time job instead, i'm not going to get too into it all as i plan on writing a blog post on it tomorow, but i just couldn't face another three years in education. As i said, a blog post will grace your dashboards soon about the topic.

2. The Christmas shoppers were out in force on Saturday and Sunday, not even the snow and ice combo outside put them off - thats dedication! I don't really mind working weekends during the run up to Christmas, you may all think i'm slightly crazy but the day goes by in a flash and before i know i've finished my shift!

3. I've been doing quite a bit of retouching this week, mainly to build my portfoilio a bit more. Retouching is a little business thing i'm working on, hopefully once my portfolio is developed a bit more i'll start doing more paid work. :)

Hello,

First and foremost, i need to get the compulsory snow chit chat out of the way! Its SO bad where i live, and i got the day off work today! Yay! A snow post may be up tomorow if i muster up the courage to venture out! :) Now onto the good stuff . . .

When visiting my blog you may have noticed a bit of a difference, if you are a regular visitor that is! Yup, Felicityxoxo has had a m.a.k.e.o.v.e.r.!

I opted for a sophisticated dark purple header dressed with a starry purple cosmic inspired background. I think you'll agree, it looks a bit more cohesive and organized. :)

Along with a change in appearances i shall be broadening my blog post topics a tad more.

I abso-bloody-lutely love reading the 'Monday Summary' type posts; easy reading AND it allows me to be a tad nosey into peoples daily lives! Win ;)

So i thought i'd jump on the bandwagon and give it a shot.

After thinking of a suitable name for this feature i decided on 'Monday Musings' which i think is quite apt.

So heeeere we go . . . .

1. I've been SO busy last week with a presentation on Vintage Clothing due in next monday, moodboards to complete and a report to start too! I'm slowly getting there though, all i can say is bring on the Christmas break.

2. I started my part time job last week, well i had my induction anyway, my first proper shift in Wednesday. I'm working at River Island, i worked there in April 2009 - October 2009 and have gone back to work there over Christmas and i'm keeping my fingers crossed that they may change my contract to permanant. *crosses fingers*. During my induction they left me on the till on my own to serve customers, so i had to try to remember the process of serving the customers from a year ago! Thankfully i didn't short-change/charge anyone wrong. Phew!

3. My weekend was spent shopping on the saturday, and then having an X Factor binge on Saturday night and Sunday night. I actually can't believe that Wagner is still in, oh my god - who is keeping this guy in?! It annoys me that people like Aiden and Paige are leaving the competition whilst he is still in, hopefully he'll be packing his bags next week! However, i love Cher (when she is doing her rap style performances) and obv One Direction!

4. Its been bloomin freezing this past week, i desperately need to stock up on big chunky knit jumpers and thick tights. Apparently its gonna snow this week too, how exciting! Snow always makes me think of Christmas, which means - Christmas is coooooming! :)

Forget Cloud 9, i'm on Cloud 23!

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all fine and dandy!

A few Saturdays ago i braved the busy train and ventured down into Manchestaaa! The sun was beaming down and it seemed like the perfect day for good food, great company and a whole lotta shopping.

At 2pm we (My mum, sister and i) met my sister-in-law and her mum at The Slug and Lettuce

and had some munchies and drinkies, if you are interested i had the Grilled Chicken Wrap, which was super yummy, with a side order of Chips. I've never been to The Slug and Lettuce before but i really enjoyed the atmophere, the food was lovely and the staff were very friendly too.

After our lunch we had a quick look around the shops including Zara and Urban Outfitters, a lot of oohing and ahhing commenced but unfortunately i didn't find anything that screamed 'Buy Meeee!' theres always tomorow, eh . . .

At 5pm we made our way to the next destination, the infamous Cloud 23. If you are not aware of what the heck Cloud 23 is, then i'll happily divulge some information and my experience there.

Cloud 23 is a luxurious bar situated on level 23 (...hence the name ;)) of The Beetham Tower/Hilton Hotel. At 23 levels high the bar boasts breathtaking views of Manchester with its floor to ceiling length windows. The venue is so indemand that when we went for a sneaky cocktail at 5pm there was already a queue along the lavish red carpet to get in! After a little wait we were ushered into the lift and whisked up to level 23. After my ears had stopped popping we exited the lift and were greeted by a handsome male waiter who showed us to a table with spectacular views of Manchester, we could even see Coronation St from our table, embarassingly that got me a bit giddy . . . or was that the cocktail . . .

After nearly fainting at the prices of the bevvies we finally decided what our choice of drink would be, we all chose a cocktail each - i chose Cottonpolis which was 'An explosion of fresh English fruit flavour. Spiced Pear and Elderflower play with the citrus tang of Tanqueray Gin. Finished off with a splash of Soda' It came beautifully presented and tasted equally delicious! After finishing our drinks and taking a few snaps we paid the bill and left via the lift we arrived in.

If you are in Manchester i would definately recommend visiting Cloud 23, the prices are quite steep BUT for the view and atmosphere which the venue demonstrates i defintely think it evens the prices out. Admitedly i did hope to bump into some form of celebrity but i guess i was at the right place at the wrong time! :(

My experience at Cloud 23 was fabulous and if you have the opportunity to visit then i'd definately encourage you to go!

So, after a cocktail infused evening we swiftly made our way to Picadilly Station and caught a train back home and back to reality after a taste of the high life (literally!!) . . .

Today i'd like to introduce to you, Vichy Normaderm Tri-Activ Hydrating Care.

The sciencey stuff . . .

LHA A Loreal patented acid helps micro-exfoliate the surface of the skin for a smoother surface and uniform complexion.

Salicylic Acid Targets the pores helping to breakdown blackheads and whiteheads by gently micro-exfoliating the top layer of skin and clearing blocked pores. Salisylic Acid also has antiseptic properties to cleanse the skin to help stop recurrence of blackheads.

Glycolic Acid The most common of the AHA's is an all-natural derivative of sugarcane. Glycolic acid naturally exfoliates the skin and helps reduce the bacteria causing imperfections.

These three acids work in conjunction to target blemishes, blackheads and open pores.

Women 25-45 years with imperfection prone skin require a hydrating texture and for the first time Vichy has been able to create a texture that targets imperfection without drying out the skin.

A combination of Glycerin and lightweight Emollient Oils enrich the day care to offer a highly hydrating 24 hour texture.

Finally the texture is enriched with Anti-Silice to help mop up excess sebum for an instant matt finish.

Vichy Thermal Spa Water also helps to hydrate and soothe the skin in order to fortify the skin's natural protective function.

So, what do i think?

I have to admit, Vichy is a brand which i have never been aware of before, so before i used the product i decided to do a bit of googling to find out about their other products and the brand itself. I soon discovered that Vichy are a brand which are focused on Skincare and their products and services highly reflect this. Vichy carry an array of products and also offer a skin health consultation which can be carried out at your nearest Vichy Pharmacy.

After researching Vichy i knew i was leaving my skin in good hands. You may have noticed that this Vichy product is in my previous favourites post, so that in itself speaks volumes! I really rate this moisturiser very highly.

The packaging is great, the bottle is pleasing to the eye and the pumpbased bottle allows you to easily release the product with minimal mess.

The product itself comes out as quite a thick white cream but when the product is applied to the skin it feels quite silky on the skin and sinks in very quickly, leaving you with a matte finish.

I've used this product inconjunction with my normal skincare routine and i can see the benefits that this moisturizer has given my skin. I have Oily skin so consequently i'm prone to spots, i get them mostly on my forehead and chin however this moisturiser has minimized my spots and has evened out my skin tone quite significantly.

Another point about this moisturizer is its mattifying properties. As i stated earlier when the product is applied to the skin the moisturiser delivers a matte finish. This has been a big plus for me as it has kept my oily skin at bay throughout the day, i've even been leaving face powder out of my make up routine recently!

This product has really impressed me, and i suggest thinking about buying this if you have oily/combination skin as it has definately improved my skin.

I never normally do favourites posts, for one reason; I tend to like a lot of products each month, so it'd take me aaaageessss to reel them all off into a post. Yup, i'm one of them people who likes to use different products each day/week by doing this i discover products i once loved and regenerate my adoration for them . . . . . however the month of August was a tad different, i stuck to a daily routine so obviously these products must be my favourites. :)

1. GOSH Professional Art Make Up Brush
I'm not sure which GOSH brush this is as it doesn't say anything on the brush and its not on the website either, which is very helpful! I got it for Christmas a couple of years back so it may have been discontinued or something . . . Anywho, this month i've been using this brush for a multitude of things, the brushes slightly curve in the the tip of the brush which is fab for contouring, i also use this brush for applying blusher to the apples of my cheeks and applying face powder too. Its a fab all in one brush for me and makes my make up application much quicker in the morning, rather than chopping and changing brushes every minute!

2. Maybelline New York Eye Studio 05 Glamour Browns
I love my neutral eyeshadows, i find they suit my skintone more than vivid rainbow colours, so when i was struggling what to buy for the 3 for 2 offer at Boots (i think this deal has ended now :( ) i saw this quad and headed over to the till with my other 2 products. To be fair i didn't expect much from this quad, how wrong was i?! Its fairly pigmented for the price (£6.99) all 4 colours when applied create a sultry brown smokey eye, the staying power is also really good.

3. Sleek Face Contour Kit in Light
Sleek is a brand which i would of probably strolled past in Superdrug if i wasn't a beauty blogger. I think its very much underestimated by people who are not beauty bloggers, which sucks for them as they are missing out on a fab brand!

The Contour Kit is simply amazing, there are 2 products inside - a matte brown contour colour and a shimmery highlight. The contour is highly pigmented and i would say its definately on par with the quality of Benefit's Hoola, the only difference is the price tag - Benefit Hoola £23.50 Sleek Contour Kit £6.99 . . .

The highlight is also very pigmented, and i mean VERY, i put a swipe of it down my nose and it was just a visable streak of shimmery-ness, so apply with a light hand!!

4. Topshops Creme Blush in Neon Rose
When Topshops MU range was released it was all systems go in the blogging world, and i too bought 2 lippies and a creme blush. The lippies are gorgeous (review hereeee!) but the blush took some getting used to seeing as it was my first creme blush. However now that i've got the application down to a T i've been using this blushe everyday! It lies on the skin as a coral pinky colour and when blended in you are left with a subtle coral glow. Next on my list is an Illamasqua creme blush, need to start saving my pennies!!

5. Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara in Black
I'm not going to deny that i'm a bit of a mascara addict, i think i've tried most on the drugstore market but i always return back to my trusty Sexy Curves. The curved wand gives my lashes lots of length and quite a bit of volume too, but the one thing that i love the most about this mascara is that it doesn't clump! You see, i have quite a lot of lashes which all sit quite close together and most mascaras unfortunately just gather them all up together into a clumpy mess, but the Sexy Curves defines each lash and really emphasises them all.

6. Vichy Normaderm Tri-Activ Hydrating Care
I was sent this product to review during August and have used it everyday since i recieved it. I'm not gonna say too much about it as i'm currently writing up a review on it, however i will say - it makes my skin feel SO soft after using it, also i use it under my foundation so my skin is left with a dewy glowy look.

7. Elle Magazine (random fave!)
This magazine has never been far from my side, i loved the D&G interview and there are some b.e.a.utiful photoshoots in there too, go chekck it out if you haven't already!

I've been flaunting my hair au natural lately, basically i step in the shower, shampoo and condition then i simply towel dry my hair briefly and apply my everfaithful Label M Volume Foam and my sisters GOSH Salt Of Mine Saltwater and after some vigorous scrunching i simply leave it to dry and voila i have beachy wavy hair - with no heat ruining my lockes! Winner. ;)

Oh, and as you can see in the photo above, i've been opting for a centre parting recently too, very Kim Kardashian!

I love Label M!

Hello,

Label M are a professional hair care brand which are stocked at many hair salons and can also be purchased online.

I personally came across the range when i was having my routine hair cut at Toni and Guy, my hair looked volumized yet smooth and when i asked the hairdresser what products she used on my lockes, she replied 'Label M Volume Foam' and the rest as they say is history . . .

Since that fateful day i have grown quite a Label M collection, so i will quickly run through them and tell you the ins and outs of them all -

Label M Volume Foam £11.00

This does exactly what it says on the tin, it volumizes my hair with it feeling sticky or full of product. Also because the substance is a foam and not a mousse i feel that its so much easier to distribute throughout your hair.

Label M Thickening Cream £11.50

The Thickening Cream is totally different to the Volume Foam, instead of adding volume to your hair it simply gives your hair more body and creates a more swell or fuller look. So if you have quite fine hair and are after a little extra left and body then definately give this a try!

Label M Smoothening Cream RRP £12.00

I don't use this product as much as i use the previous two, however on the occasions when i have used the Smoothening Cream it has done me proud! It eliminates fly aways and frizz and also it can be used on wet or dry hair - great for girlies on the go!

Label M Ressurection Style Dust £10.00

This is probably my favourite Label M product out of the four which i've tried. You simply shake a small amount of the dust out and place it onto your roots, then massage/rub it into your roots to create a texturised look. The Ressurection Dust can also be used to simply give your hair a little bit of a lift if its looking a tad flat and unloved!

Although they may be a tad pricey compared to drugstore products i think that Label M products are fab and really do work well.

Sun, Sand and Mosquito Bites

Hello,

I'm shocked to see its been one month since my last blog post *slaps wrist*, as cliche' as it sounds - a few things had came up during the past few weeks which meant there was a slight tumble weed moment with my blog! Anyway, you don't wanna hear about that . . . but what you might want to hear about is my lovely sunny getaway in Madeira.

Yes, i graced Manchester Airport, waltzed on the plane and flew into the sunshine saturated island which is Madeira. (where strangely i NEVER spied any Madeira Cake whilst i was there! Weird!)

We stayed in a lovely hotel, the rooms were nice, food was delicious and the bar wasn't too bad either! I spent most . . . scrap that i mean ALL of the week sunbathing. I slapped on the factor 30 and basked in the sun whilst listening to music (mainly a concoction of Lady GaGa, Cheryl Cole and Example) and read lots of trashy magazines - sounds good right?! The only negative thing was the silly Mosquito which took every opportunity to bite me, bu i guess thats what you get when you visit a hot country, right?

Below are a few piccies for you to have a nosey at, they were taken on my sisters camera which decided to have a fit and break whilst we were mid holiday, so thats why the quality is not the best. My dad had some piccies on his camera too, so when he's uploaded them i'll pop them in a new post. :)

Hello :)

I have a bit of bad news and a quick update/some good news for you!

Ok so, lets get the bad news over with first . . . .

Unfortunately my Mr Sony Vaio has decided to completely break down on me after 4 faithful years, basically it struggles to open any programmes without freezing, and the internet keeps freezing too! So i'm getting it sorted out tomorow, and if all goes to plan it should be spring cleaned and all sorted within a few days, also as its getting a good clean i think the computer technician guy MIGHT wipe everything off my computer, including my blogger pictures! So if my pictures on this blog appear as white boxes with a red X in the corner then you will know why!! *crosses fingers that this doesn't happen*

Enough of the bad news though, some fan-dabby-doozy news is that I HAVE A JOB! :D

Oh yes, after weeks of trawling through the Job Centre website and ringing countless shops up in town, i finally got over the

'Sorry we have no vacancies at the moment, but you can bring your CV in and we'll keep it on record'

one liner and managed to set up an interview with New Look, and i managed to secure a job there for the Summer! My contract is only 4 hours but this week i've already worked 20 hours :O Bring. On. Payday.!

Thats all my news i think for now, my next blogpost will be up as soon as i get my lappy toppy back, so its au revoir for now folks! Topshop Make Up

So i've finally pulled my socks up and decided to write a post on the much anticipated and talked about, Topshop Make Up.

As i'm sure you're all aware unless you've been living under a rock for the past month . . . Topshop decided to tap into the make up market and release two collections;

The first is the Core Collection - this will be available permanantly.
This collection caters for all your make up wishes, it stocks *DEEP BREATH* - Duo Eyeshadows, Mascaras, Eye Crayons, Eye Glitter Pigments, Kohl Eyeliners, Blush, Bronzers, Lipsticks . . . blah blah blah . . . you get the picture - Topshop have got all the grounds covered. ;)

The second is the SS10 Trend Collection - According to the Topshop website each 'Trend Collection' will only be available for 3 months before the next collection comes around, so bare that in mind if you plan to buy something from this or any other trend collection.

The SS10 Trend Collection products follow a contemporary festival theme,

Topshop say this about the collection

''think facepaint, art, ethereal beauty - and get set to discover your inner folk goddess"

Sounds good, right?!

This collection for me feels super summery, the rich yet warm tones in the trio eyeshadows look amazing, and very convinient for just popping in your bag if you are lucky enough to be going to a festival this year *jealous*.

Ooh and the Glitter pots look fab too, they look so vibrant and well who doesn't like a bit of sparkle in their life?!

What i bought . . .

I bought 3 products from the Core Collection; 2 Lipsticks in Desert and Brighton Rock and a Blush in Neon Rose.

The 2 Lipsticks have a great consistency to them, they are moisturizing and not at all dry, however they are still quite pigmented which surprised me (in a good way) as to be honest i was expecting them to be more sheer.

Desert is a browny/peachy toned Lipstick and it really suits my skintone, however if your quite pale i would suggest staying away as it may look too rich/browny against fair skin.

Brighton Rock is a fuschia hot pink colour. I think i must of been having an impulse moment when i bought this as i hardly ever steer away from nude lipsticks, so buying a hot pink lipstick is a rarity for me! I'm so glad i bought it though, the colour is gorgeous, its quite wearable and can be applied in quite a sheer fashion to achieve a daytime look, then you can pop a bit more on in the evening to get a *look at me* effect.

Neon Rose is a pink toned blush with a dash of coral to gain the neon colour, although it looks slightly intimidating and bright in the pan it goes on quite sheer and is not as vibrant as it looks at first sight. The consistency is a creme blush however it finishes on the skin to a matte finish, which makes it easier to apply. Oh and i should probably say, this is my first creme blush and i can apply it with ease, so deffo go for it if you've never bought one before. :)

Swatchey Swatch - From top to bottom we have Neon Rose, Brighton Rock then Desert.

Packaging wise, i'm sure you've heard this ten times over but how cute is it?! I think Topshop really hit the nail on the head here, its modern, unique and of a great quality > everything which Topshop stands for. A big thumbs up from me!

Olivia Palermo

Hello :)

Today i'm going to blog about one of my 'style crushes', the *never a hair out of place* Olivia Palermo.

Olivia is mostly known due to her role in MTV's The City, where she plays, sorry . . . works at Elle magazine, most people have a opinion of Olivia . . . generally its a bad one - but you cannot fault the girl's style! She looks flawless almost 24/7 and can make the most casual of outfits look glamorous.

Olivia keeps the colour pallete fairly neutral in terms of her clothes, and then really makes the look pop with accesories.

Exhibit A

If Olivia does inject some colour into her outfit she tends to keep the rest of it toned down, take the picture below for example, as Olivia's top is quite colourful and flirty she made sure to keep the rest simple - a black waistcoat, black shorts, black bag . . . . can you see a pattern?! oh and not forgetting the Marc Jacobs bag, the ULTIMATE accessory! ;)

Exhibit B

Olivia rocks the casual chic look in this outfit. On its own the blue stripy top and bubble skirt may look a bit 'bland', however by adding a statement necklace, and a mac with tiered ruffles and you have an eyecatching yet subtle look.

Exhibit C

Olivia gives a simple dress an edge by simpy adding a masculine style waistcoat, a bold black and gold studded waist belt and a fabulous statement necklace. I'm sure you can see by now, Olivias key rule in styling is - ACCESORIZE! :)

Update & Models Own

Hello :)

During last week i've been struck down by a rotten cold, which is the main reason for the lack of posts, however i'm feeling a lot better today and should be getting back on the blogging bandwagon from tomorow! :)

Before i go, i simply need to let you know some great news about the fantastic brand - Models Own.
Whilst reading the lovely Milly's blogpost discovered that Models Own were launching in Boots, i can already mentally see the money trickling out of my bank . . . anywho, it left me wondering just when Models Own would be in my local Boots store. So after a little bit of Googling, i found a very informative pdf file telling you just when Models Own were gracing a Boots near you.

I've already started counting down - 57 days :D

I've gone WILD for Wildfox Couture!

Hi everyone,

Hope you're all well and are enjoying this rather gorgeous weather we've been blessed with, lets hope the summer sun stays for a while, eh! :)

Today i'm going to introduce you to one of my favourite brands at the moment - Wildfox Couture, i'm sure you are all aware of them and have too been drooling over the clothes!

If you don't know about Wildfox, then let me give you one quote from the Wildfox website which will place the brand firmly in persective for you -

'She is a NATIVE HEART, She is a NEON LIGHT, She is a LOVE CHILD, She is a WILDFOX'

Yup, that statement solely presents the ideology of Wildfox. Wildfox stands for fun, love, quirkiness and fashion which doesn't take itself too seriously . . .

Another feature of Wildfox which really stands out for me is the fantastic and creative advertisements which basically reflect Wildfox's ideology - but in picture format! I recently came across Wildfox's 2010 Summer Campaign and was completely in awe of not only the clothing but the story which the campaign was showing.

The campaign showed various types of Barbie Dolls in a 21st Century revamped mode e.g. Festival Doll, Hangover Doll, Hippie Doll . . . ect. Wildfox are evidently poking fun at the 'L.A Stereotype' and 'Barbie' culture of today but in a non-offensive and kooky way.

Lets not forget the most important part of this campaign though - the clothes! The over exagerrated dolls in the advertisements wear some classic WildFox tee's in hot pink, whilst the 'Hippy Doll' sports a long pastel pink maxi dress with a flower print on the front, accesorized with a flamboyant black heavily rimmed hat with pink sunglasses - VERY Nicole Richie!! However my favourite ensemble from the whole campaign has to be the 'Hangover Doll'. The 'I'm Allergic To Mornings' tee is genius and describes that 'morning after the night before' feeling perfectly!

DIY Eyeshadow :)

Hello lovelies,

First of all, thanks so much to all the new followers, much appreciated. :)

A couple of weeks ago i bought an NYC Mosaic Colour Wheel in 'Pink Glow'. I had been happily applying it since then, however yesterday disaster struck . . . i clumsily knocked the blusher off my dressing table and it rolled onto the floor, i picked it up and half of it had broken off and smahed into smithereens. :( Gutted? Yes!

Whilst sat in bed last night, it got me thinking, why should i throw away half of my blusher just because it broken, then it hit me (not literally ;)) i shall smash the broken half of my blusher up, smash another eyeshadow up that i hardly ever use, et voila, i will have a hand made eyeshadow!

So this afternoon i set to work on creating my own unique eyeshadow. :)

Heres how i did it . . .

Stuff you will need.

2 or more broken eyeshadows/blusher (any powdered product will do).

A Metal Spoon.

A Clear Plastic Bag.

A Small Container - to put your eyeshadow in.

A Sticker/Label to name your eyeshadow - thats the fun part!

. . . and make sure the surface your working on is covered with newspaper, as it can get a tad messy . . .

1. Firstly you want to empty the broken eyeshadows/blush in the clear plastic bag. Bare in mind that if you put more of one product in than the other then obviously that product will be stronger in the final product. I put equal amounts in of - No7 Eyeshadow - Comet and NYC Mosaic Colour Wheel - Pink Glow.

2. Its time to CRUSH! Yup, grab your spoon, place it ontop of the bag and crush that eyeshadow down! (be careful not to rip the bag ;)) When you come to a finely milled consistency then stop crushing. You should be left with a lovely new colour, if you are not satisfied then feel free to crush more eyeshadow into the mix until you reach a colour which you like.

3. Next, grab your container which is going to house your brand spanking new eyeshadow, and pour/spoon in the eyeshadow which you have just created. I used a Bare Minerals sample size container, as i found this was the perfect size.

4. Nows the fun bit, grab yourself a sticker and cut it to size so that it will fit onto the bottom of your container. Then think of a name . . . got one? Good! Now write it on the sticker and stick it on the botton of your container. I got a tad carried away and even thought of a brand name, heard of 'FJI Cosmetics' anyone? haha (my initials just incase your wondering!) I stuck the brand name of the front of my container. :)

Thats all there is to it, you now have your very own pigment based eyeshadow. Easy peasy!

Review - Revlon PhotoReady Foundation

I know there are tons of PhotoReady reviews already, however i wanted to give my two pence. :)

It seems appropriate to say that one of Revlon's most eagerley anticipated products is the PhotoReady Foundation. Since its release oversee's us British bloggers have been waiting patiently for it to be sitting on the shelves in Boots and Superdrug in all its glory! :)

PhotoReady has now been out for a couple of months in the UK and has had lots of exposure via the media press and through bloggers. So was it just a 'hype' product, or did it REALLY prove itself?

Heres what i think . . .

Firstly, let me give you a bit of background as to what i like in a foundation. My skin is fairly good, i hardly get spots *touch wood ;)* or redness/blotchiness, therefore i don't need a heavy full coverage foundation. When i do use a heavy foundation i find it breaks me out and leaves my skin looking dull.

When i first looked at PhotoReady i was very impressed with the packaging, theres nothing snazzy about it, its just simple yet effective - transparent casing (so you can see the product), a pump to disperse the foundation (such a simple yet amazing feature - minimal mess/wastage!) and a semi-transparent lid (not much to say about this!!).

Application

So, how does it apply i hear you ask! I find a little goes a long way with PhotoReady, i sometimes find that a whole pump is much too much for my skin, so i generally stick to 3/4 of a pump. I apply all foundations, including PhotoReady with my fingers, just because i feel like i'm getting a much more even application, rather than using a brush. This foundation IS buildable, to an extent, however i prefer to not build it up and instead pop a bit of concealer on where needed. At the end, i'm left with a light and dewy finish.

I tried to photograph my face with the foundation on, but thanks to my rubbish camera, it didn't really work! So you're gonna have to look at my beautiful hand instead . . . . the swatch isn't amazing, as i was trying to capture the sparkles in the foundation, i even stood next to a window!

The Glitter Factor!

Yes, we've all heard about it! Some people have been put off by the 'glitter' prescence in this foundation, which i must admit made me a teeny bit cautious, however i find that although there IS a trace of sparkles in the foundation, this does not make you look like you've been rolling around in glitter for an hour! Instead it helps the finish of this foundation to give off a luminous and dewy look.

Overall

This foundation will not be everyones cup of tea, for those of you who prefer a full coverage then i'd stay away. Personally i can't fault this foundation, it gives me just the right coverage and i can build it up when i want to. The sparkles are a positive for me, as they make my skin appear more luminious. PhotoReady will most likely be my 'go to summer foundation' and i'd give it 9/10.

MAC Help!

Hey lovelies,

Hope you're all enjoying this wonderful weather :)

I just need some quick advice from you, if you have a couple of minutes spare.

Basically i went into MAC for the first time last week and had a good look around. There was so much to look at that i didn't really know where to begin! So after half an hour of umming and ahhing i left MAC with a heavily swatched hand, yet no make up. :(

So my question to you guys is, what products from MAC would you reccomend me? I tend to opt for more neutral/smokey tones in terms of eyeshadows but i am open to any reccomendations!

I did see a blush i liked called 'Fleur Power' but i haven't heard a lot of talk about it, what do you think?

One more thing, i know this is super silly but if you see a tester of a product you like and want to buy it, but there are none boxed up then what do you do, does this mean they are sold out?

I'd be so appreciative if you could give me any reccomendations/advice.

I love Barry M nail paints, they have more or less every colour under the sun and for me they apply like a dream too. When i go to Superdrug or Boots i always have a cheeky look at the bright colours they have and mentally note which colour to buy next, at just £2.95 each they are easily affordable!

I love this pastel green colour, its on trend with the pastels theme for Spring and brightens my hands up a bit too. :)

Apologies for the lack of posts recently but i've been really busy with Uni work and all sorts of other stuff, you know how it is!

Hopefully i'll be putting some new posts later today and getting back on track. I have a few products to review and some fashion type posts to write up too.

I've seen a couple of these *Style Inspiration* posts floating around so i thought i'd tell you mine.

Cheryl Cole

Oh yes, the nations sweetheart Mrs Cheryl Cole (may not be Mrs Cole for much longer, eh?!)often takes prime position in the *best dressed* or *we want your style!* esque features, and rightly so! With her immaculate make-up, big voluminous hair (spill your secret, Cheryl!) and effortless yet glamorous style we all admittedly love the geordie!

Cheryl's style is rather varied, in the daytime she keeps it quite cool and casual but in the evening she vamps it up and adds the glamour factor . . . . ha ha, geddit?! As Cheryl has quite a petite frame she tends to stick to *cling to me* outfits and is often seen wearing skinny jeans with cute little jumpers/jackets. As our Cheryl is quite small she is hardly ever seen without her beloved Christian Louboutins, which boosts her up a vital extra couple of inches.

At night Cheryl tends to wear to more natural colours which suit both her olive skintone and brunette lockes, although she may surprise us one night and come out wearing a neon yellow dress . . . ok maybe not! She keeps her dresses short-ish, again to compliment her petite frame.

Incase you've been living under a rock and have never seen Cheryl Cole, or would just like to stare at her gorgeousness then i'll pop some pictures here. :)

Kim Kardashian

Kim stars in *Keeping Up With The Kardashians* a show about the Kardashian clan. The relationship between Kim and her sisters, her mum (sorry, mom!) and Bruce makes for great viewing! Deffo watch it if your into trashy reality tv!

Kim's style isn't a lifetime away from Cheryl's, she tends to stick to what she knows best; neutral colours, tailored/fitted shapes and is barely seen without rocking the smokey-eye look.

One of Kim's signiture make-up features is her flawless smokey eye, not only does this ooze instant glamour but i feel it also makes Kim resemble some form of cat . . . which strangely makes her look even more beautiful! Paired with glowing bronzed skin and a neutral lip Kim rocks the glamorous Hollywood look.

Kim pours her luscious curves into figure hugging ensembles with show off her much sought after figure and a bum which is slowly becoming more famous than Kylies! Kim knows how to make the best of her body, and boy does she look hot!

If i had to choose one word to describe Kim's style then i would choose *Classic*. During the day Kim usually team skinny jeans/leggings with basic tops and a structured jacket/blazer on top and not forgetting a pair of sky-scraper heels to parade her long legs! At night Kim turns up the heat a tad and often pouts at the paps on the red carpet wearing strapless dresses and assymetrical one shouldered dresses, which shows off her killer figure!

I often find myself trying to find at least one teeny weeny flaw of Kim, but to my dismay she seems near enough perfect!

I made Cupcakes!

Hello!

Today was my day off and intended to revise revise revise but instead i got distracted and cleaned my room, stuck a workout DVD on and baked some delish cupcakes! (well i haven't tasted them yet, but they look yummy!)

I was searing online for a recipe but couldn't decide which one to use, so i tweeted that i was baking cupcakes and the lovely Milly (whose blog you should all check out > http://pearlsandpoodles.blogspot.com/) kindly tweeted me a recipe.

So i raided the cupboards, used an electric whisk, which ended up with mixture EVERYWHERE and made some truly scrmptious cupcakes!

I also made some butter icing to go on top of the cuties. :)

My mum tried to show me how to make *Butterfly Cakes* (hence the random cupcake) but i didn't have the patience for that and decided to just pop a spoonful of icing on top.

Now if you'll excuse me, i have a date with a Cupcake . . .

Getting Fit!

Hey girls,

This post is going to be slightly different than my usual beauty posts. I'm gonna be talking about fitness and wellbeing.

January is well-known for being the month where a lot of people get fit and try to live a healthier lifestyle after the festive period. I've never felt the need to lose weight but over the past few weeks i've been thinking about improving my lifestyle in terms of food and excersise (or lack of!)

I'd like to stress my primary aim is NOT to lose weight but to tone-up and lead a heathier lifestyle instead.

My statistics
Height - 5 ft 4inches
Weight - 7 Stone 12 pounds
BMI - 19.26

Aims
As you can see above, my statistics are healthy but i do carry some extra weight on my stomach and hips. I'd also like to tone-up my upper arms. I'd also like to feel healthier in myself and not feel so sluggish and tired.

So, how am i going to achieve this?
I'm going to do this in two parts - Excersise and Fitness.
Excersise - I've never been the super sporty person so taking up a new sport is not an option! Instead i'm going to try and do simple things such as walking more, instead of getting buses and taxis everywhere. One example is, usually i get a taxi from my house to the train station for Uni but instead i'll get a bus into town and then walk to the train station. (walking from my house isn't an option; it'd take me at least 45 mins!!!) and the same on the way back. So thats a brisk walk 5 days a week.

Another thing i plan to do is, excersise DVDs. Oh yes! I'm a bit of a sucker for them to be honest! I have quite a collection but they are simply collecting dust in the garage, so i'm going to dust them off and plan on doing them 3 days a week. (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays)
I may also buy a new one too. I'm thinking of buying one of the "Pump It Up" DVDs i think its from the Ministry Of Sound. It seems to be very aerobic and dancey which is what i like.

Food
I'm quite lucky really as i don't really have to watch what i eat, but what i do need to take notice of is portion control, i tend to have quite big portions of food which i feel is my downfall! I'll be controling my portions more and also adding more salad and veggies with my meals too.

The second change i'm going to make is to substitute white foods with brown/wholemeal foods. So instead of having white toast in the morning i'll have granary/wholemeal toast instead or Weetabix. I'll do the same with pasta too. White foods are known to cause bloating and tiredness so hopefully this will help me.

The final food change is to simply start thinking about what i'm putting in my mouth/body. I'm not going to stop eating the things which i enjoy, i'm simply going to moderate my eating and think "1 biscuit instead of 2/3!"

Oh and one last thing - WATER! Yup, good old H2o, i'm gonna aim high for the *8 glasses a day rule* :)

So thats my plan. As i said before i am trying to tone-up and just feel healthier, but obviously i'm going to lose a couple of pounds with the excersisng and diet substitutions.

I may do a few videos on this subject on my YouTube account, and i will also keep you updated on here too.

Hair Havoc!

Hi girls,

For the past month i've been making hair appointments and cancelling them due to my last hair scare at Toni and Guy.

Let me paint the picture . . . i've been visiting Toni and Guy for many years and they have been amazing, very professional, great colours and cuts. So a couple of months ago i made an appointment for a saturday afternoon to have a quick cut. When i entered the salon i was greeted by a member of staff and got taken to a chair, along came my hairdresser and i explained what i wanted - a low side parting in a very short bob/pixie crop (i even had a number of pictures with me too!) the stylist took 1 minute to look at the photos and rushed me off for a shampoo. When i got back into the chair the stylist got the scissors out and started chipping and chopping my hair, 10 minutes later i noticed that she had disregarded my photos and was cutting it with a middle parting so i stopped her and said "you do know its a side parting, don't you?" then she hesitated and said "oh . . . yeah" then immediately changed the parting and blatantly tried to fix the parting mistake. However by this time it was too late, i had short pieces of hair all over the place and my sweeping fringe was jaggedy and was all different lengths. By this time i just wanted to get out, so i paid, and left unhappy. In hindsight i wish i'd of said something but it was so busy and i didn't want to make a scene. Its took a month to grow out and even now some bits still don't look right.

So now you know why i'm hesitant as to taking a trip to the hairdressers! But tomorow i'm gonna take the plunge and go to a different salon which i've heard fab things about.

I'm going for a Frankie The Saturdays / Jessica Stroup (Silver 90210) look.

Urban Decay - Smoke Out Kit

Hey lovelies :)

It was my birthday earlier this month (2nd Jan) but with it being just after Christmas i always struggle to tell my parents what gift i would like. So on a post-christmas/pre-birthday trip into town i sauntered over the the Urban Decay stand and spotted the Urban Decay Smoke Out Kits. I've always been a bit anxious about purchasing Urban Decay products as i like to keep my eye make-up quite neutral, whereas most of the Urban Decay palletes are all bright, vivid colours.

However after examining the "Smoke Out Kits" i discovered that they were made up of 4 neutral colours . . . SOLD! Yup, forever a sucker for snazzy packaging i quickly became the proud owner of one of these gems. :)

The Breakdown

Urban Decay describe this kit as *an amazing smoke-and-mirrors kit which unveils the secret the the elusive smokey eye*.

I chose the *Sweet Lucy* kit. This included 4 colours to achieve a gray/black smokey eye. There are 2 other Smoke Out kits with different colour schemes - Green and Brown, if you don't want the colour to be too intense. Anywho, i wanted the dramatic look, so opted for Sweet Lucy.
The kit itself is structured in a layered fashion. Each layer holds one or more products from the list above. All the layers are held together by a nail/screw/stud (yeah, i've never been good at describing DIY type things! hehe) well whatever it is, it lets all the layers swivel/move freely. The mirror is attached to another swivelly screw which allows the mirror to be moved to a different angle so you are able to see your pretty peepers easily. The packaging also has a smokey look both inside and out, obviously keeping in with the theme of the product!

I love this kit as you can create daytime looks, then simply vamp it up in the evening. Also with the kit being super dinky its really convinient if your going somewhere overnight and don't want to cart around a load of eye products with you.

So yup, this super stylish kit gets a big thumbs up from me. :)

Christmas look

Hey guys!

On the spur of the moment i decided to create a glittery smokey eye using colours from my sisters Urban Decay palette (which she doesn't know i used . . . thanks/sorry Nic, if you're reading this >.<) anywho, i've took some pictures of the look, which you can find below. Apologies for the rubbish quality of the pictures - i took them quickly on my webcam.

As you all know, blogger is useless for uploading pictures on, so if the picture above comes up teeny then i apologize!

I may make a YouTube tutorial on this tomorow, if i have enough time; gotta go into town and finish my xmas shopping first, eeek! I'll most likely film the tutorial on my camera, so the quality will be a lot better than the pictures. :)

I've just got back from Christmas shopping in town and lemme tell you, i am NEVER leaving my christmas shopping until last minute again! A combination of icy paths and stressy shoppers is not a good scenario! Anyway, i'm home now with a cuppa watching Hollyoaks - blisss!
I've not quite finished all my shopping yet and need to get a few more bits and bobs, then i can make them all look purdy with bows and tape galore!

Hey girls,

Hope you've not all forgotten about me! Its been a hectic few weeks.

As many of you may be aware, i started University at the start of this month and i'm loving it! I spent all of Freshers week partying the night away and sleeping the day. After a fun yet hectic Freshers week i was raring to start some actual lectures and was excited to carry out something productive. However my hopes were pushed aside when i contracted the dreaded Swine Flu! I felt like death all last week - its just like the normal flu but add in the Tamiflu and it makes you feel ten times worse, i actually think the Tamiflu caused me more harm than good! Anyway, 1 week of daytime tv, sleeping and hardly eating i'm back to normal, bar a chesty cough and the sniffles. ;) I attended this weeks lectures and i am really enjoying the course, and the people seem lovely too - although i have got lost a few times around campus!

Again, this is just a quick post to let you all know i am here and i am keeping upto date with all your blogs/YT vids. Usual blogging will commence from me soon - promise!

Maybelline Pulse Perfection Mascara

Sorry i've been MIA recently, been pretty uninspired and had camera issues too, BUT don't worry because i'm back and better than ever! :)

Most of you be aware of the Maybelline event which took place on Thursday in Hammersmith. Due to financial issues/other engagements i couldn't attend, which i was super upset about because i was really looking forward to meeting everyone and learning about the brand itself and the new products which Maybelline have recently launched (Colour Sensational l/s and the Pulse Perfection Mascara).

However, Natalie from Headstream PR who organized the event with Maybelline was kind enough to send me a few of the products to try out.

In this post i'll be nattering about the Maybelline Pulse Perfection Mascara > What a name!

Mascara is my number one favourite beauty item, without it i feel naked, so this mascara had a lot to prove!

So when i finally managed to get the mascara out of the packaging i started prodding and pulling it to try and get it to vibrate, my excitement of owning a vibrating mascara had obviously taken over by then! 10 minutes later i STILL couldn't get it to vibrate, i re-read the instructions but to be honest i don't think they are very clear, it says -

Start - Pull plastic tab to remove completely then discard.

Now, to me a "plastic tab" is actual plastic, so i instantly looked at the top of the mascara to find the plastic section (where the battery is enclosed) i couldn't see a "tab", in hope of finding some clearer instructions i logged onto the Maybelline website and found an all singing, all dancing (ok maybe not!) demonstration on how to activate the vibrations and it turns out all i needed to do was remove the sticker which was around the battery section of the mascara! A sticker is not the same as a "plastic tab" in my books, but hey ho, what can you do! :)

Moving swiftly on . . . .

In terms if packaging i think it looks good, but it's nothing special but to be honest, a vibrating mascara kind of sells itself - you hardly need fancy packaging to intice people further! I've noticed that the American version of the Pulse Perfection mascara has a black top instead to enclose the battery, while us UK buyers have the transparent top. I personally think the black top looks more professional and less intimidating!

I used this mascara for work this morning and i really like it! I find that with just 2 coats i can achieve noticably volumized and lengthened lashes and the vibrations are easy to control and handle. My all-time favourite mascara is Rimmel's Sexy Curves Mascara, it's an item which i re-purchase time after time. So how does the Pulse Perfection compare? Well in my opinion i think the Pulse Perfection is definately on the same wave length, but for £14.99 so it should be!

Is it really worth it, or is it just a gimmick? I do love this mascara and will very much enjoy using it, but i don't think i will re-purchase as i cannot justify paying out £14.99 for a mascara when a £7.99 Rimmel Sexy Curves can do a similar job, i think this product is overpriced and think that because of this it will not get the exposure it deserves, it IS a good mascara but in my books it isn't worth the rather hefty price tag!

A vibrating mascara, whatever will they think of next, a roll on foundation? . . . . . oh wait!

Style Idol - Kim Kardashian

Okies, so this isn't gonna be a beauty post as such, its going to be a more fashion/candid post.

I'm starting a new series of posts called "Style Idol" < genius eh, AND it rhymes!

Style Idol posts will consist of me posting about my Style Inspirations or people i simply admire.

My first Style Idol is *drum roll* . . . . the gorgeous Kim Kardashian!

Embarrasingly, i've only just started watching Keeping Up With The Kardashians (i'm currently on Season 1 Episode 4) but i'm loving Kim's look, i've been researching her on the t'internet and love how she conveys quite an elegant yet chic look. Kim tends to keep to neutral colours which she knows suit her complexion, when Kim does inject some colour into her outifts its usually by a slick of red lipstick to make her outfit pop!

In terms of make-up Kim sticks to the tried and tested smokey eye look, with lashings of eyeliner to really intesify her peepers! Kim keeps the rest of her face neutral with a nude lip. Occasionally though Kim switches things up by letting her lips do the talking with a striking rouge red!

Sorry for not posting in what seems like forever, my bad! :P

* Uni in 32 days - So far i've bought a wooden spoon, spatula thing and some paper . . . i think i need to go shopping!

* My skin clearing up! Yay, goodbye angry spots *waves* :)

* X Factor - I lurve X Factor, firstly because of Cheryl Cole and secondly because of the talent this year, tis ace!

* Hollyoaks - Ok, so, some of the acting is pretty shocking BUT its a great way to wind down and the guys in it are hot hot hot! Calvin <3

* The Weather - Typical British answer, eh! Seriously though, i went to work yesterday and it was gloriously sunny so i didn't bring a jacket and just went in my work t-shirt, 3pm comes along (when i finished work) and it was cloudy, rainy and freezing cold - i swear i nearly catched pneumonia at the bus stop!

* Spotify messages - To be honest i don't care that your Jonathan from Spotify, play my music!

* Student Finance. They always manage to cock up everything! Grrrr!

Bronzing Beauties

Hey girls,

I've not got a memory card thing for my camera yet so no pictures until then! Should be getting one asap :)

Bronzers are a daily must-do in make make-up routine, if i don't apply my Hoola then i feel pasty and just yuck!

One of my favourite Bronzers is Benefits Hoola, i must admit i was inticed by the packaging of this product BUT i had heard some fab things about it too, so it was a win win situation! Since that fateful day Hoola has been a part of my life, adding an instant glow to me every morning.

A few days ago i was rooting around in my drawers and found Boots' 17 Bronzing Pearls, i only bought this product as it was on offer for Buy One Get One Free and to be honest i didn't have very high expectations of it but i thought it'd do for a back-up or spare . . . . at this point i'd like to apologize, i completely judged this product as it was a drugstore own brand and thought it wouldn't be anywhere near as good as my beloved Hoola.

How. Wrong. Was. I?! For £3 you get a fair amount of product, which does not turn you into an oompa loompa, i think this is due to the three pearls being a series of Terracotta, Beige and Brown. I've been wearing this regularly and i love it and would definately compare it to Hoola. Plus at £4.39 its purse friendly too, compared to Hoolas £22.50 hefty price tag!

I'll definately be checking out the 17 range at Boots as i feel there are some great gems there, for great prices! Check out the range @ http://www.boots.com/en/17/

Haircare Routine

Hey everyone!

I've noticed a few people posting there hair/skin care routines so i thought i'd jump on the bandwagon too!

Shampoo
At the moment i'm using Aussie's Real Volume shampoo. I wash my hair everyday because it gets very greasy at the roots and looks really lanky if i don't wash it daily. I only need to use a 50p sized amount as my hair is quite short. The product lathers up quickly and smells lovely too! It also does what it says on the tin and adds noticeable volume and makes my hair smooth and soft.

Conditioner
At the moment i do not use conditioner daily as i find most of them make my hair greasy and lanky. Although if i feel my hair is brittle/dry i will give it a quick condition just to add some moisutre back into it. For conditioner i use Herbal Essences, when needed.

Hair Mousse
I like my hair to be quite big and volumized so along with the volumized shampoo i also use VO5's Mega Hold Styling Mousse. After shampooing and rinsing i then roughly towel dry my hair then apply one pump of this all over my hair from root to tip. Although it says on the directions of this mousse that you should comb the product through, i don't, i think it gives my hair a more textured finish if i just work the mousse through my hair with my hands.

After blow-drying and straightening . . .

Toni & Guy Defining Wax for Defined Texture
To hold my hair in place and to make sure it doesn't fall flat i work through some hair wax. I used to use hairspray instead but found it didn't give my hair any texture, and made it feel crispy. To use this product i will finish off my hair by taking some of the product between my palms and simply tipping my head upside down then i work the product through my hair from root to tip, bring my head back up and roughly style my hair back into shape.

So thats my hair care routine, i like my hair to be volumized and thats the method i use.

I love a good fitting pair of jeans but my favourite item of clothing that i own is my zebra print dress, i'm aware that animal prints can look skanky and cheap but it's honestly gorgeous, infact i may do a post on it tomorow! :)

Hey lovelies!

Sorry for the long delay in blog posts!

I've not been able to buy anything recently as my new card hasn't come through the post yet (if you have no idea what i'm talking about then please refer to my previous post. :) )

Also i'm trying to not spend too much money at the moment as i'm planning to bring around £1000 of my own money to Uni with me, yeah, like thats gonna happen Felicity! :P

Moving swiftly on, i have a little NOTD post for you's all.

Until i get a memory card thing for my camera all pictures and videos will be taken on my webcam, unless i can persuade my sister to let me borrow her camera . . .

Rimmel - 300 Movie Star

I love this colour, i actually found this in Morrisons, there was a load of cosmetic/beauty products that were heavily discounted, most of the stuff was rubbish but i found this little gem.

I think the RRP for this product is around £4 - £5 but don't quote me on that!

The colour is a deep ruby red, with gold shimmer tones. It makes me feel quite Christmassy, for some strange reason . . .

Worst Nightmare!

Hey lovelies,

A couple of weeks ago i recieved an email from the Tax people saying that they had taxed me too much at work and that they would be refunding me £375! Great, i thought! The email included a form which i had to send back - in the form i had to include my bank details too . . .
Anyway, i'd been waiting for about 2 weeks and hadn't recieved my promised £375 so today i rang up the Tax people and they told me that it was a FAKE email and that people are trying to hack into my account! :O

So i promptly rang my bank and they said the safest thing to do would be to close my account and to cut up my card, the lady on the phone said i'll recieve a new card within 7-14 days! .

Talk about worst nightmare come true! :(

To keep me busy until i get my new plastic i plan to write a few reviews and whatnot. :)

Hey girlies!

I planned to post my ootd yesterday but i fell asleep, oops! Anyway, instead of letting it go to waste i thought heck, i'll just post it with todays ootd. So your getting two for the price of one! Ok, so they don't actually cost you anything but you get what i'm saying . . . . ok i'm rambling!

Reet, OOTD 1 - (Yesterdays)

Excuse the face/hair - i wasn't feeling too good yesterday!

I opted for a long floaty deep orange coloured vest top from Topshop. Its very lightweight, so its ideal to wear on a day when its hot, like yesterday was. In the evening it went a tad cooler so instead of grabbing my usual cardi combo i decided to just wrap a light leopard print scarf around my shoulders to keep me from being chilly. I dared to bare the legs yesterday as it was too warm for jeans, i didn't think it was appropriate to take a piccie of my legs though as they weren't fake tanned and looked as white as white can be! I want some St Moriz but no-where round my town sells it. : (

Onto OOTD 2 - Today! :)

Until i workout how to use the self time on my camera your gonna have to put up with the crappy "me holding the camera" pictures! Sorry guys!

Its been a typical British weather day today, this morning it was gloomy and cloudy and as if by magc this afternoon has turned into a mini-heatwave! Cue my outfit panic! The picture above shows my outfit this morning, i layered a basic black t-shirt from Topshop and put on top a dark navy/nearly black floaty, oversized top which has huge arm sleeves, for a pop of colour i accesorized the outfit with some amber/gold coloured long beads from Next. For the bottom half of me i opted for a pair of the ever faithful skinny dark denim jeans. As of now i have stripped off the big floaty top and am just wearing the black t-shirt and jeans.

1. Hot Vimto

Two words - freakin delicious!

I used to have it when i was little and the other day i noticed it was on offer at my local shop so i bought a bottle of it and have become re-aquainted with it! Hot Vimto rules - go try it! Just boil some water in a kettle, pour some Vimto into a glass/cup and then pour the boiling water over the Vimto. Deliciousness guaranteed!

2. Galaxy Cookie Crumble

Haha, i love how my first 2 obsessions are food related!

I love Galaxy chocolate anyway and was intrigued when i saw the "Cookie Crumble" version, so i picked one up and bought it. I didn't think it'd be very nice to be honest, but how wrong was i?! Its the most gorgeous chocolate bar EVER! It has these little bits of cookie biscuit in the chocolate - genius or what?! Galaxy, if your listening please make a "Popcorn Crumble"

3. Re-runs of Old TV Shows

Seeing as work have cut my hours, grrrr! I'm spending a lot more time in front of the TV and have found myself watching old episodes of The O.C, 8 Simple Rules, Americas Next Top Model and of course FRIENDS!

4. Magazines

I'm trying to keep this obsession tamed a bit, but its not working! I buy most of the trashy celebrity weeklies and the glossies too. If you add up all that i spend on magazines in a month its about £30-40, which could be spent on something not as disposable as magazines!

5. Music

I've been listening to a lot of music lately, i find myself singing along to the radio or loading up Spotify on a frequent basis. I love Florence and The Machine at the moment, so different to whats out there at the moment. I'm also listening to Britney's Circus album a lot too, i LOVE it!

The next chapter . .

Hey my lovelies! (just realised the title of this post is the name of Katie and Petes last TV series!)

Okily dokily, so this is not gonna be a beauty post because i'm too tired at the moment after a hard days work at River Island. So instead i'll be telling you about the next big step in my life . . . UNIVERSITY! Yup, in October i shall be trotting off to Nottingham to study Media and English at Nottingham Trent! To say i'm excited is an understatement, i can't wait to explore the city, get to know my flatmates, do a bit of cooking and best of all, Nottingham has a MAC! I think i know where my student loans gonna go . . .

Anywho, i shall be staying in halls on campus in a place called Peverell. It costs £96 per week, which i thought was a bit steep BUT i do have an en-suite (i CANNOT share a bathroom! eww!) and apparently there is 24 hour security too. So i shall be safe and clean at least!

So the plan up till then is as follows

From now until 27th September - work my butt off at River Island to get some money.
27th September -30th September - run around like a headless chicken in town trying to buy everything - pots, pans, shopping etc . . .
1st October - PACK! Eeeeeep!
2nd October - Move in! Double Eeeeeep!

I might do some blogs/hauls about Uni related topics in the run-up to the big date, if you guys are interested? Let me know please. :)

Hey girlies,

Seeing as i've magically fixed my camera i thought it was a good idea to celebrate by posting an OOTD.

I'm off work today so i put on a super casual look, not too much thought went into it, just the first thing that came to hand when i opened my wardrobe.

Rundown of the look.

Long vest top - Topshop.

I have a thing for animal prints at the moment, and i love that i can wear this top with jeans or with leggings. I got the top yonks ago so i can't remember how much it is, probs around the £15- £20 mark.

Long cardi - surprise surprise Topshop . . .

I l.o.v.e Topshop cardis, they are SO soft and come in array of colours. I'm currently lusting over the oatmeal/nudey coloured one, and at £18 a pop i might just go and buy it!

Jeans - River Island

I work at River Island, so these are my "work" jeans but i love them so much i often wear them outside of work too. Thanks to my super crap piccies you can't really see the jeans detail too much - they are a light blue faded denim, have white paint splashes on them and random rips here there and everywhere! I usually wear dark denim but i thought i'd give these a go and i'm so happy i did! These are £39.99 but i got my staff discount so i got quite a bit knocked off. :)

I'm in a very chirpy mood today, it might be the fumes from Barry M's Pink Flamingo making me go a bit whacky, but hey ho thats how i roll! : )

Innies . . .

* My hair is growing! When my hair grows an inch or two longer then i'm gonna put my extensions in. :) If i put them in at the moment it looks so fake and skanky - not a good look.

* A/W Collections - I'm loving all the new collections on the highstreet and online, i'm currently eyeing up a rather lush studded bag on ASOS.

* Me fixing my camera! YAY! I pressed a few buttons and as if by magic it's started working again. Now i don't have to spend £100 on a new one.

* Leaving work on 13th September - No more manager from hell! *PART-AY*

* The tax people refunding me £375 because they taxed me too much at work apparently. . .

* University in October - words cannot express how excited i am, bring on FRESHERS!

Outties . . .

* My skin break out - i hardy ever get spots, but when i do there super sore and in the most noticeable place, i'm sure they do it to annoy me. :(

* Not having a MAC nearby. I was so close to ordering online but i want to see the products first.

* Delivery charges, i wish ASOS didn't charge for delivery, thats the one thing that puts me off ordering off there.

* My obsession with magazines - seriously i must spend around £10+ each week on magazines which if you add up each month is a lotta money.

Seeing as i've now fixed my camera you can expect me to be super snap happy!

When to leave . . .

Hey everyone!

I'm just looking for a bit of friendly advice from you. : )

I'm going to Nottingham University on 1st October and this week i have to decide when i am going to leave my job at River Island.

So the question is, should i leave work on the 27th September OR the 15th September, if i leave on the 15th September i'm planning to go and live with my sister who is moving into her new flat in Nottingham so i can get used to the city a bit more, and i'd be getting bits and bobs sorted for the big move. At the moment i'm not being given a lot of shifts at work, usually just the weekends, so i wouldn't be losing that much money.
Any comments would be great

As i'm sure many of you are aware a lot of the high-street shops have started to stock there A/W 09 collections and i'm SO glad they have! I've noticed that a lot of the clothes have quite muted colours - think grey, black, earthy tones, when colours are introduced they are not garish and are again toned down.

After briefing myself on the trends for A/W i popped along to Meadow Hall in Sheffield for a shopping trip. I was on the look out for a new jacket, first stop was All Saints where i found the most gorgeous jacket you have EVER seen, i looked at the price tag and saw it said £80 so i thought WOW thats a great price i've gotta get it, so off i went to the till and when the sales person scanned it it came up with £395! :O I was like WHAT?! It turns out that i'd been looking at the price tag of the top which was underneath the jacket instead, which was £80. I felt so foolish! Anyway, after that escapade i went into the lovely Zara and started to look at their new collection, tucked away in a corner i found a gem of a jacket! It was £49.50 which i think is pretty good seeing i'll use it all autumn/winter, it has a sprinkling of studs on the back of the jacket - but its not too over the top.

Sorry again for the craptastic pictures, does anyone know of any decent and not too expensive cameras? I had a look on the Argos website but theres too many and i'm confused! I'd like one thats good for close ups on pictures and takes good videos too! Thanks girlies! xx

Visiting the ASOS website is a daily occurance for me, i enjoy looking at the new collections and wishing i had an endless pit of money to buy it all! ASOS also have a beauty section, which to be honest i don't often visit, however today i visited ASOS as normal and discovered that they are now stocking Illamasqua products.

In terms of pricing i've found that both the Illamasqua website and ASOS have exactly the same prices for all the products. However if you purchase any goods upto (or over) the value of £75 from ASOS then you get Free Delivery (UK residents only) So if your a big ASOS shopper i'd definately reccomend purchasing some Illamasqua products too!

Hey girlies!

This is just a random post, not related to fashion or beauty.

Firstly i want to say thanks to my followers, ok so i'm aware that 11 followers is not like a super amount but everytime i gain a new follower or recieve a comment on a post it makes me smile so much and pretty much makes my day! : )

Also i should be getting a new camera soon, or i might try to reset my digital camera because all the settings are messed up but i need a new camera for Uni so i might as well just buy a new one! So expect new videos/decent quality images soooon!

Haul - Just a few bits i go from Superdrug and Boots.

Hey girlies!

My first haul! Just a little one but i've been dying to do one for ages. :)

So here goes, this is just a few bits and bobs which i picked up from Superdrug and Boots (UK drugstores for those people who are outside of England). I was going to do this haul as a video but all my family are in and i'd get embarassed! haha

The first thing i picked up was "iFoam" by Soap and Glory. I love the brand, there so fun, humouress and the products smell gorgeous (which always helps!). I payed £2.93 for the product as its on offer at the moment - its meant to be £4.40! I think the whole of the S&G range is on offer at Boots at the moment, so get yourselves down there. So far i'm loving the iFoam and i love it, it smells lush and is really moisturizing.

I'll review this at a later date!

I have really dry/chapped lips at the moment and needed something that would really moisturize and protect them, i watched Gemma's YouTube video on a Blistex lipcare product and thought i'd pick one up as she raved about them. I don't think i got the same one as Gemma but my Superdrug didn't have a wide range of choice, so in the end i chose Blistex Relief Cream Healing. Again, i'll give you an update on this when i've used for a few days. :)

Next up is the Rimmell Vinyl Carat lipgloss in Razzle Dazzle - 250. I've been looking for a cherry red coloured lipgloss for a while and thought i'd give this a try. I love the colour it's a glossy cherry colour, it has a subtle sparkle to it which makes it wearable for the daytime too.

I also got a can of Loreal Elnett hairspray in Normal strength, i love this hairspray it's the best i've tried. It holds my hair in place all day and is easy to comb out too.

After all the hype around Barry M's Pink Flamingo i thought it was time to jump on the bandwagon and try it out. There was only one left in my Superdrug so i quickly snatched it up and i'm dying to try it now! The colour is gorgeous - a neony coral pink. I love it already!

The final product i picked up was a Rimmel Stay Matte face powder in Soft Beige 005. I always put powder on after my foundation to set in and sometimes if i've put a bit too much bronzer/blusher on then i'll put some of this on top to tone it down slightly, it works wonders. I also carry it in my bag at work so i can quickly put a bit on if i'm a bit shiny.

Ok, now for the major crappy picture! I apologize for the quality, if anyone has any camera reccomendations then PLEASE let me know! I'm looking for a digital camerafor around the £100 mark. :)

I thought the lyrics from the Daniel Merriwether song "Red" were suitable for the title of this post because the nations sweetheart, Cheryl Cole has "painted"/dyed her pretty much perfect lockes RED!

For those of you who don't know, i'm a big Cheryl Cole fan (she waved to me at the Out Of Control tour because i was shouting her name so much, haha crazy fan much?!) anyway, i got home from work this afternoon and visited the DailyMail TV&Showbiz section as i do every day and got quite a shock when i saw she had changed her long flowing brunette hair in favour of a fiery red hue.

I'm sure Cheryl will rock this look, and that you'll all see lots of red haired girls tottering down the high-street soon enough.

Hey lovelies. :)

Today, after umming and ahhing for a bit i decided to go ahead and record my first YouTube video, scary huh! I just did a little introduction video which took forever to record as i kept messing up - i have so many blooper vids its unreal!

After i finished recording that i decided to make another video for a "Whats In Your Bag" i think originally that was a tag video, but hey i thought i'd just make one regardless of being tagged. : )

The quality of the vids are quite bad due to me recording them on my webcam, i have got a camera but i've lost my charger for it >.< BUT i'm gonna a brand spanking new camera tomorow, so expect high-quality vids from now on! If anyone has any reccomendation for a good camera for vids and photos then please let me know.

One more thing, this morning i logged into my email account and for some reason i checked my spam folder even though i hardly ever check it because i usually get a load of crappy junk emails in there, anyway i saw an email off the HM Revenue and Customs people so i curiously opened the email and they said there going to do a tax refund for me for £344! It was a very nice surprise first thing in the morning. :)

A Whole New World

Hi girlies!

Until recently i've only ever bought drugstore make-up as unfortunately i couldn't afford more expensive make-up such as MAC, Benefit, Illamasqua ect. However along came a vacancy at River Island so i now have sufficient funds to spend on lots of lovely make-up! :) The only problem is i don't know where to begin with stores such as MAC, so if you girls have any must haves or reccomendations then please let me know. I'm not much of a colour freak and prefer more muted/golden/earthy colours.

I recently took myself off to MeadowHall in Sheffield and visited the Benefit counter there in Boots. The lovely Benefit lady gave me a makeover and tested some products on me, i ended buying Erase Paste and Hoola - so again any reccomendations then please let me know!

Angel Of The North - Cheryl Cole

Cheryl Cole found fame through the talent show "PopStars The Rivals" since then the nation has fallen for the geordie's charm and shes become a household name in the UK. Mrs Cole is a regular in the fashion weeklies and has even graced the cover of Vogue - not bad for a girl from Newcastle, eh!

One of my favourite dresses which Cheryl donned on The X Factor in 2008 was a coral Matthew Williamson design. I adore the colour and think it really compliments her skintone. The embelishments on the dress makes Cheryl appear more curvy and really brings your focus in on her tiny waist!

As i said this is one of my favourite outfits that Cheryl has worn and when i saw it i immediately started looking for familiar items. Some of you may know that i work in River Island, well when i was doing the delivery one morning i discovered a great dupe for the dress, it's an orange skirt with gold sequins down the front angling diagnolly similar to the embelishment on the MW dress. Sorry for the super crap picture and i had to crop my face out - i had a "i've had one too many sambuca face!" :P

As you can see the skirt is quite similar, i think the skirt may be in the River Island sale at the moment, so get down there pronto if your after one! I decided to team it with a plain white t-shirt, a brown thing waistbelt with
and a small heart necklace.

With the X Factor starting again later this month the focus will be as much on Cheryls style as it is on the contestants.

Review - Aussie Real Volume Shampoo

I've always been a fan of Aussie products, they smell great and leave my hair soft and not in the least greasy (which is big plus for me as my hair is very grease prone - i can't even use conditioner!) Anyway, when i saw the Real Volume shampoo in Morrisons i immediately picked it up, i must admit i was a bit skeptical as i have tried numerous shampoos which claim to volumize hair but never do!

I tried it the following morning and must admit it does exactly what it says on the tin, well bottle if your being picky! It doesn't smell as nice as other leading shampoo brands such as Herbal Essences but i'd rather get a better result than a nice smell! The shampoo lathers up well and is easy to wash out of your hair too. I applied NO other products to my hair before blowdrying it, so i could see the results fairly. After blowdrying i found my hair to be a lot more volumized at the crown and had a lot more body and bounce too. It has also left my hair feeling a lot more manageable and noticably softer.

Overall i'd give this product 9/10.

Review - Batiste Tropical

Hello girlies!

My hair gets extremely greasy, i have to wash it everyday because otherwise it just looks yuck but its so time consuming washing, drying, straightening and the styling my hair everyday so when i heard all the hype about Batiste Dry Shampoo i was instantly sold! I bought the Tropical one as i heard it smelt the nicest too.

So this morning i tried it, my first impression was how powerful it is! I thought it would be just like spraying hairspray but its very high pressured so consequently you don't need to use a lot. The smell of this product is gorgeous - not too overpowering and quite sweet. It took me about 5-10 minutes to spray and style my hair and i can honestly say that the result was great!
My hair was left non-greasy, smelling great and looking fab all day!

I'd definately buy this product again.

I've seen quite a few bloggers posting these so i thought i'd start too. :)

In

1. Being paid - Seriously, theres no other feeling than logging onto my online banking and seeing a little bit more money in my account. It makes all them long days and awkward customers worth it!

2. Trashy TV - The Hills, The City, Gossip Girl, NYC Prep (my newest obsession) I love them all, i think it'd be great if there was a UK version of The Hills - maybe set at ASOS?

3. Benefit - I've always wanted to try Benefit but i've never been able to afford, so when i got my job at River Island the first thing i bought was some Benefit products. I got Erase Paste (2 medium) and Hoola. I know its not a lot but it was all i could afford!

Out

1. Small feet - I'm a UK size 3 so i find it very hard to find shoes that fit. I practically live in my flats from Topshop but i can't find any other stores which sell shoes for small narrow feet. :(

2. Noireen from Big Brother - No explanation needed.

3. Breakouts - My skin isn't at its best at the moment, i'm gonna try and up my intake of water and see if that help. I hate it when my skins blotchy and spotty.

Hair Extensions

I feel a tad silly writing this as i have zero followers! haha, please follow me if your reading this. :)

but i really don't like it anymore, i feel its too short for me and i just feel so unsexy with it short so i've decided to buy some hair extensions. I optimistically rang Toni and Guy this morning and was shocked when they said they'd cost £550 for three months wear! So that was obviously a no-go for me - i'm a pennyless gap yearer so i need to save all the money i can for Uni!

Anyway, this afternoon i came across a cute website called www.headkandy.com so i've read all the testamonials and they all seem great, the hair seems great quality and also the price seems really affordable too! I'm gonna email them in a few minutes to ask them a couple of questions but apart frrom that i'm pretty sure i'm gonna go ahead and order some.

When i recieve the extensions i will probably do a blog and YT review about them. :)

Its ok, i hardly ever swim though, apart from on holidays.

Make Up, Fashion and Me

Hello,

My names Felicity and after discovering the beauty guru community on YT and Blogspot i've decided to give it a go!

A little bit about me . . .
Well, as you now know my names Felicity and i'm from Derbyshire in England. I'm 19 and am currently on a gap year before i start Uni in October. I'm working at River Island at the moment, its a great place to work and i really enjoy it. So thats the essential point to know about me.

I decided to make a blog and YT channel because i simply love make-up, i love testing new products, discovering new brands and of course admiring the pretty packaging!
I must admit at heart i am a drugstore girl simply because its affordable and its sort of my comfort zone, but thats where you guys come in - i need some advice! I'm planning a MAC trip soon and need some advice on what to buy, i've never been before so any reccomendations would be great.

I shall be recording a video tomorow and popping it on YouTube - Probably just an intro/my fave products vid.

LucyMarie85 - I love this girlie, she's the first beauty guru i came across and i'm forever checking her channel for updates! She's so pretty and seems like such a sweet girl.

BeautyMarked - I found out about BeautyMarked19 from Lucy's channel, although BM is pretty new on YT i can tell she's gonna be one to watch - her vids are great especially the scarf collection!

Lollipop26 - This girl is like a legend in the beauty guru community! Her vids are very informative and you can tell she has a passion for all things beauty.

hollymae20 - Holly is definately one of my fave YouTubers and definately inspired me to start blogging and posting vids.
